LeafPad ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website at https://leafpad.io and provides a software service that helps users add blogs and dynamic content to their websites and online stores.
Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to operate LeafPad.
a. Information you provide
When you sign up, request early access, or use LeafPad, we may collect:

- Pages visited and basic usage data
This data is collected via standard analytics tools to understand how the site is used and to improve the product.
c. Staff and contributor data (Shopify)
When you install LeafPad via Shopify, we may access limited staff and contributor data as required by the Shopify platform, including:
- Store owner: name, email address, phone number, physical address
- Blog contributors: email address, IP address, browser and operating system
This information is used solely for authentication, account management, and operating the service within your Shopify store.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and operate the LeafPad service

- Improve product performance and usability
- Communicate with you about updates, access, or support
- Ensure security and prevent abuse
We do not sell your personal data.
3. Content and Data Ownership
You retain full ownership of the content you create using LeafPad.
We store and process your content only to provide the service (for example, rendering posts, generating metadata, or serving content to your app).
4. Shopify Store Data Access
When you connect LeafPad to your Shopify store, we request the minimum permissions required to deliver the service. Here is exactly what we access and why:
a. Online Store pages (edit access)
LeafPad requests edit access to your Online Store pages exclusively to create, update, and publish blog posts on your behalf. This is the only area of your store where LeafPad makes changes.
You remain in full control. LeafPad only publishes content to the specific blog page you designate during setup. No other pages, templates, or storefront settings are modified.
LeafPad will never edit, create, or delete any page outside the blog section you have authorized.
b. Products and collections (view only)
LeafPad requests read-only access to your products and collections. This data is never modified.
We use this information solely to:
- Understand your catalog and generate contextually relevant blog content
- Apply accurate internal links within blog posts (for example, linking a blog post to the correct product page)
- Refresh content context when new products or collections are added
We do not store, sell, or share your product or collection data with any third party.
